The other version is the one we talk about between appointments: that we opened this studio because Warsaw deserved one: a single place where you could walk in for a thirty-minute taper fade or sit for an eight-hour set of knotless braids and trust that the person beside you knew the work.
Three years in, we've installed thousands of meters of Kanekalon Futura. We've started, retouched, removed, and re-converted more dreadlocks than we can count. We've cut more father-and-son combos on Saturday mornings than any single barber in Warsaw, probably. We've had clients walk in for their first cornrows ever, and clients in their twentieth year of locs come back to tell us a story about how the last appointment changed something.
What we've actually learned, three years in:
- The right chair matters more than the right tool. We went through three barber chairs before we settled on the ones we use now. The wrong chair makes a 7-hour appointment a 7-hour ordeal.
- The client across the street is the marketing campaign. Every braid we install walks out the door and gets seen by people who weren't yet our clients. The work is the ad.
- Patience is the curriculum. We don't teach people their hair. We teach them to be patient with it. The rest follows.

- Właściwy fotel jest ważniejszy niż właściwe narzędzie. Przeszliśmy przez trzy fotele barberskie, zanim doszliśmy do tych, których używamy teraz.
- Klient po drugiej stronie ulicy jest kampanią marketingową. Każdy warkocz, który zakładamy, wychodzi za drzwi i jest widziany.
- Cierpliwość to program nauczania. Nie uczymy ludzi ich włosów. Uczymy ich być cierpliwymi.
